Tropical pitcher plants, also known as Nepenthes or monkey cups, are a genus of carnivorous plants that use modified leaves to trap insects and other prey. The plants are native to Southeast Asia and are the largest of any carnivorous plant varieties. Nepenthes are known for their pitcher traps, which can be as elaborate as artistic creations. The plants use nectar secreted from the underside of the trap's lid to attract prey. Potted in our blend of forest floor soil in 5" hanging pots. These are well established plants with multiple pitchers. Ready to be hung in your green oasis, or outdoor shaded garden. For the best results, provide proper lighting, and water only with distilled water.
